Your data, without the fine print.

This policy covers the PaperFlow app for iOS and Android. It explains what data we process, why we use them, and how you can request access, correction or deletion.

App privacy

Operator and contact

PaperFlow is operated by Franco Balestieri Oliveira de Amorim, an individual in Argentina. For any privacy questions, write to paperflowapp1@gmail.com.

Data we process

  • Account: email, internal identifier, sign-in provider and technical session data.
  • Your reading activity: topics, reason for reading, text size, saved readings, progress, recent searches and quiz results.
  • Notifications: your permission choice, time zone and the installation's technical token. You can turn notifications on or off through the operating system or the app.
  • Purchases: product, status and access entitlement reported by Apple, Google and RevenueCat. PaperFlow does not receive or store your card number.
  • Support and reports: the category, paper, version and optional comment you choose to send. Do not include unnecessary personal data.
  • Usage and errors: events needed to understand how the app works, app version, device, operating system and pseudonymous technical identifiers.
  • AI: the question or audio needed to respond while you use chat or voice. PaperFlow does not retain audio files or store the complete conversation text in its database. Written chat history is stored locally on your device, separately for each account and paper, and is deleted when you sign out or clear local data.

Why we use these data

We use these data to authenticate you, synchronize your account, remember your choices, provide the features you request, manage access based on your purchase, send optional notifications, answer support requests, investigate reports, prevent abuse and fix errors.

We do not sell your data, display ads, or use advertising identifiers or cross-app tracking.

Providers

Supabase provides authentication, API, database and file storage; Resend delivers the sign-in and recovery emails sent by Supabase; OpenAI processes requests needed for chat and voice; RevenueCat receives technical purchase information; Apple, Google, Expo and their notification services deliver purchases and notifications; PostHog measures product usage; Sentry diagnoses errors; and Vercel serves the website. Each provider may process data outside Argentina under its own terms and security measures.

Before you use chat or voice, we ask for your consent in the app. Your question or audio and the necessary paper context are sent to OpenAI to produce a response. Microphone permission is requested when you start a voice conversation. PaperFlow not storing audio or complete conversations in its database does not mean the provider does not process them: that processing is also subject to the provider's terms.

We configure measurement to exclude questions, answers, audio, transcripts, emails, names, comments, credentials and request bodies. Measurement can be turned off in Settings; strictly operational, security, purchase or error events may continue to be processed.

Retention and security

We retain account data while the account is active. When you confirm deletion, we delete the account and personal data associated with normal usage. Some minimal purchase, security, diagnostic, report or audit records may be retained without an active account when needed for reconciliation, fraud prevention, claims or legal obligations. We restrict access and review those records according to their purpose.

Your choices

You can edit preferences, turn off product measurement, manage notifications, sign out and delete your account in the app. You can also start a request without access to the app through Delete account. To ask about, correct or request a copy of your data, write from the email associated with your account.

Changes

If data use changes significantly, we will update this page and communicate it in the app when appropriate. The policy for the informational website, which has no accounts, is available at Website privacy.
